This is the poop bags that started it all, PoopBags The Original!
For over a decade, The Original has been made from plant matter such as corn, vegetable oils and compostable polymers.  We strive to be as eco-friendly as possible at PoopBags.com.  The Originals have earned the illustrious certification from the Biodegradable Products Institute as ASTM D6400. That's the top dog certification in the industry!

On top of all that, The Original PoopBag has and will always be Made in the USA. For some folks, that's important as a sense of pride. For others, it makes them more eco-friendly since they travel less distance.
While we wish it wasn't the case, sourcing products that are Made in the USA is more expensive than importing them so these poop bags carry a premium when compared to our other poop bags.

    Good quality but small

Posted by Jessica on Jun 6th 2018

These bags so far have held up well, definitely durable so I don't have to worry about any rips or tears. My only issue is that they're a bit small and there is no larger size offered for the compostable version, only offered in the recycled plastic. I have a large dog that produces large droppings. If they came out with a jumbo sized plant-based bag then I would definitely give it 5 stars.

PoopBags: Great suggestion Jessica. The compostable bags are the most eco-friendly, but they're also the most sensitive with their lifespan before they break down. We'll watch for the demand to rise on this request before making that investment in a product with a limited shelf life. Thanks!

So glad I found these bags. I feel that getting away from all the plastic is better for the environment, and just trying to do my share too. I am impressed that these are made with plants! Keep up the good work!

Feels better to use than plastic.

Works like a bag should work. I haven't used a bag and let it sit in the sun on a table to test its compostability; instead I've chosen to believe. Convenient bags, easy to carry, slick so it's easy to pull one from a bunch.

These are a little thinner than the previous version (it's noted on their website) but overall a great product. I like that they're made in the USA and compostable. I actually use them for cat litter which is also compostable :)
